UTICA, N.Y. (Observer-Dispatch) — U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna made it official Wednesday that he is running for a second term in Congress.
“I have been a good reflection of the district and I have not changed who I am,” he said.
Hanna, R-Barneveld, is running against Democrat Dan Lamb of Dryden. Hanna was elected in 2010, and replaced two-term incumbent Democrat Michael Arcuri of Utica.
Hanna said the issue that unifies the urban and rural parts of the district is the need for more good-paying jobs.
“I think we have opportunities to change and I am looking for them,” he said.
