Hanna Receives ‘Guardian of Small Business’ Award

AUBURN, N.Y. (The Citizen) — Both of Cayuga County’s representatives received Guardian of Small Business awards last week from the National Federation of Independent Business.

U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna, R-Barneveld,  and U.S. Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle, R-Onondaga Hill, also received perfect scores from NFIB in the group’s 2012 pre-election report.

Hanna said in a press release last week that “it’s easy to support policies that let small businesses thrive.”

“As a longtime businessman in upstate New York, I’m focused on taking steps to ease the burden on our small businesses so they can do what they do best — compete and create jobs in our community,” Hanna said.
