Hanna Supports Bill to Curb EPA Overreach

A bill to limit the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to revoke a permit after it was approved has moved forward in the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Congressman Richard Hanna voted for the measure, that clarifies once a federal work permit is granted, a second federal agency can’t undo the approval.

Hanna says the bill addresses a disturbing precedent that was brought to light during an economic development project in West Virginia.

He says the bill is important to our area because we’ve seen the difficulties associated with obtaining a permit for the Marcy Nano site.
