UTICA, N.Y. — Richard Hanna for Congress has earned the support of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
The National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 358 President William B. Cook said they endorse Hanna in the primary election on June 24 for New York’s 22nd Congressional District.
“We are currently contacting our members to encourage them to vote for you on Primary Day,” Cook wrote in the endorsement letter.
Hanna owned a business for more than 30 years in upstate New York prior to being elected in November 2010 to the House of Representatives. Hanna had never served in public office before.
“Richard has been a strong supporter of ours and he works hard to maintain reliable, six-day mail delivery throughout upstate New York,” said William Ganey, congressional district liaison for New York-22 and member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 358. “The residents of this congressional district have an honest and hardworking Congressman in Richard Hanna. We urge all Republicans to vote for him on June 24.”
“It is a privilege to once again have earned the support of the fine men and women who serve our residents as letter carriers,” Hanna said. “I will continue to work to see that we address postal issues at the federal level in a way that ensures our residents will continue to receive regular mail deliveries, which are vital to rural areas like ours.”
