The following letter to the editor appeared in the Utica Observer-Dispatch:
As chairman of the Oneida County Republican Committee, I fully support Rep. Richard Hanna in his re-election effort for the 22nd Congressional District.
Hanna has done a lot for Oneida County, whether it was working to protect jobs at DFAS or personally confronting the head of the Army Corps to question why the Marcy nano permit was being delayed. He worked diligently – yet quietly behind the scenes – to propel Griffiss to be selected by the FAA as one of just six test sites nationwide.
Washington is broken, but residents in Oneida County can feel proud that their congressional office is not. Hanna has a great reputation in Washington and is respected as someone who gets things done.
That’s why the Oneida County Republican Committee unanimously endorsed him for re-election.
Hanna voted to repeal Obamacare and to support a balanced budget amendment. He’s single-handedly pushed back on new regulations that hurt the trucking industry. Hanna gets it because he’s a businessman, not a politician. Like most of us, Hanna knows what it’s like to put in a hard day’s work, wake up tomorrow and do it again.
Our committee is behind Richard Hanna and I hope he has your support, too.
Chairman, Oneida County Republican Committee
